Covid-19 Guidelines for Lyric Preschool *  (revised 6-1-20)

- Teachers and students will have their temperatures checked daily upon entry.

- Parents may bring their child into the office only to sign them in or they may have a teacher pick

   the child up on the driveway and bring them into the school.

- Parents will have their own sign in /sign out folder along with a pen that is to remain in their

   child’s mailbox for daily use.

- Teachers’ and students’ health will be monitored throughout the day for any signs or symptoms of illness.

- Teachers and students will wash hands before and after every transition and anytime

   throughout the day when necessary.

- Teachers will wear masks except during class circle time to perform instruction.

- Upon entry teachers will wipe student’s hands, do health check , take student’s temperature ,

   escort student to their assigned group/classroom.

- Students will remain within same group/classroom all day.

- Students will place all their belongings in one cubby, this includes clothing, beddings, water

   bottles, lunch boxes.

- Students will have their own container of school supplies to be used throughout the day

   (crayons, markers, scissors, glue etc). These supplies will be cleaned and disinfected after every

   use.

- Students will sit or play while maintaining as much distance as possible under the teachers

   supervision.

- Students will play with their own container of toys which will be cleaned and disinfected after

   every use.

- Toilets and changing tables will be cleaned and disinfected after every use.

- Teachers will wear disposable gloves and wash hands before and after each students toilet

   assistance/diaper change and don new gloves to assist next student.

- Students will have their own napping mats assigned. Students will nap with as much distance as

   possible from neighbor. Napping mats will be cleaned and disinfected after every use.

- If a student is ill, they will be placed in a separate area closed off from others. Parents will be

   notified to pick up their child immediately. Teachers will wear disposable gloves during meal preparations.

- Teachers will wear disposable gloves during meal preparations and disposable utensils will be

   provided during meals.
